Court Fixes Date To Frame Charges Against Shafqat Cheema

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Oct, 2016 ) : An Accountability Court on Friday decided to frame charge-sheet against Shafqat Cheema in a corruption case on next date of hearing. Accountability Court (AC) Judge Nisar Baig heard the corruption case against Shafqat Cheema, Director Foreign Office, which had been filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
During the course of proceeding, the court also directed National Accountability Court (NAB) to again submit challan of the case after removing technical discrepancies. The accused Shafqat Cheema said that he should be told about nature of the crime.
He was ready to face punishment if he was proved guilty, he added. The court observed that this was not a simple case. The court adjourned hearing of the case till October 21. It may be mentioned here that NAB had arrested the accused in a case of making illegal assets through black money.
