CJP Orders To Transfer Shahzeb Murder Case From Karachi To Islamabad For Hearing

Chief Justice Pakistan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered an immediate transfer of Shahzeb murder case, filed in Supreme Court Branch Registry Karachi to Principal Seat Islamabad and fix the same for hearing
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Jan, 2018 ) :Chief Justice Pakistan, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered an immediate transfer of Shahzeb murder case, filed in Supreme Court Branch Registry Karachi to Principal Seat Islamabad and fix the same for hearing.
The petitioner asserting to be the resident of same locality/city where the incident of Shahzeb took place, have filed the criminal petition for leave to appeal challenging the order of High Court of Sindh in the matter findings the same not to attract provisions of Anti Terrorism Act and setting aside the conviction recorded by the Trial Court.
It has been stated in the petition that the incident of gruesome murder resulted in striking terror which created fear and insecurity in general public, said a press release issued here from the Supreme Court on Saturday.
On December, 2012, main accused after committing murder managed to escape away from Pakistan. By the order of Supreme Court accused was arrested and brought back to Pakistan and presented in the court.
A criminal petition for leave to appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court Branch Registry Karachi. The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has ordered immediate transfer of the said petition from Supreme Court Branch Registry Karachi to Principal Seat Islamabad and to fix the matter for hearing.
