Centre Setup To Impart Laboratory Attendant Training To Students

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad on Wednesday informed the Senate that a centre was set up at Chak Shahzad in 1961 to impart laboratory attendant training to the students. Responding to a calling attention notice raised by Mian Ateeq Sheikh regarding non-functional of Colleges of Medical Lab Technology due to lack of teachers and equipments, the minister said currently there were 300 students were enrolled in the training centre where courses of F.
Sc and B.Sc levels were also being taught. He conceded that medical tests suggested to the patient by the doctors were expensive and maximum facilities should be provided in the government hospitals. Earlier, moving the notice, Mian Ateeq requested the chair to refer it to the health committee for detailed discussion. Later, Chairman Senate referred the matter to the Standing Committee on National Health Services for detailed deliberation.
