CDA's Spring Tree Plantation Drive To Be Held On Feb 15

Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and Capital Development Authority (CDA) have made comprehensive arrangements for up-coming Spring Tree Plantation Drive-2018
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Feb, 2018 ) :Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and Capital Development Authority (CDA) have made comprehensive arrangements for up-coming Spring Tree Plantation Drive-2018.
During the Spring TreePlantation Drive, three lacs saplings of different species will be planted to enhance the beauty of the city so that green character of Islamabad could be further boosted.
Spring Tree Plantation Drive-2018 would be launched during a colourful ceremony which would be held at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9) on February 15, 2018 and participated by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industries, representatives of civil society, government and semi-government departments, students of different colleges and schools, NGOs and people of different walks of life.
Islamabad Expressway, Green Areas, Play grounds, Parks, Margalla Hills National Park, Simly Dam catchment area and Green belts of Kashmir Highway would be the targeted as major planting sites in the up-coming tree plantation drive-2018.
Comprehensive awareness and publicity campaign would be also launched to ensure practical participation of masses. Concerned formations have been directed to take concrete and consolidated measures to ensure survival of species which are to be planted during up-coming tree plantationdrive.
Furthermore, during the upcoming plantation drive local species and indigenous plants would be preferred so that maximum growth of the planted saplings could be ensured.
