Candidates To Submit Election Expenditures In 35 Days: AJK EC

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23th july, 2016) : The AJK Election Commission issued directions to all candidates of election July 21,2016 to submit their details of election expenditure before Returning Officers concerned to their Constituencies within 35 days as per the election ordinance 1970 of the act 46.
According to the section 46, not submitting the election expenditure would be termed illegal practice under the election ordinance of section 75, which would be punishable and up to Rs.5000 could be charged. The ordinance clarifies that in case of punishment, the candidate or representative of the Legislative Assembly could also lose his/her candidature ship or representation and it is therefore, informed to all the candidates to submit timely the details of their election expenses before the Returning Officers of their concerned constituencies,the EC concluded.
