British Delegation Show Grave Concern Over Human Rights Abuses In Occupied Kashmir

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Aug, 2017 ) , Aug 2 (APP): The parliamentary Delegation from United Kingdom Wednesday called on Azad Jammu & Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan and exchanged views on the current human rights situation in Occupied Kashmir and other matters of mutual interests.
Talking to the delegation the Prime Minister said Line of Control (LoC) was not a permanent border, Kashmiris were fighting for their birth right of self determination since the last 70 years when India took Kashmir Issue to the United Nations and pledged for giving the right of self-determination to the Kashmiri people on the international fora but denied later.
He said Indian forces were engaged in inhuman practices against the innocent civilians and was using pellet guns on students and unarmed civilians to keep them quite.
Raja Farooq Haider urged the international community to play its role in resolving the Kashmir Issue in accordance with the wishes of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
The British delegation comprised Andrew Gwynn Member of Parliament (MP) and Wajid Khan Member of European Parliament (MEP) as well as Councilor Aasim Rashid. Raja Najabat Hussain Chairman JKSDM European Union and Seherish Qamar MLA.
Ministers of AJK Govt Dr. Najeeb Naqi Khan , Barrister Syed Iftikhar Gillani , Deputy Speaker AJK Assembly Sardar Farooq Ahmed Tahir , Director General Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell Fida Hussain Kiani and Press Secretary to PM Raja Wasim Khan were also present on the occasion.
