ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Dec, 2017 ) :The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leaders, police raids on their residences and harassment of their family members.The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the puppet authorities placed Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and Muhammad Ashraf Laya under house arrest while Indian police arrested and raided the residences of several other leaders including Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Muhammad Yasin Attai and Syed Imtiyaz Haider, KMS reported.
It also denounced the continued police raids on the residence of APHC spokesman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, Muhammad Yusuf Makroo, Umar Aadil Dar and Aashiq Hussain Narchoor. 'Such coercive measures and repression cannot break our resolve,'it said.
The APHC said Muhammad Ashraf Laya was supposed to attend court in Jammu in connection with a false case registered against him, but he put under house arrest by the puppet authorities.
Meanwhile, the APHC termed the notice issued by New Delhi's Enforcement Directorate (ED) to its Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, as unjustified and politically motivated. The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that the move was an attempt to put pressure and intimidate Syed Ali Gilani and the resistance leadership.
He said that such repressive tactics by New Delhi could not subdue the Kashmiris resolve for freedom and they would continue their struggle till complete success.
