Anti Polio Drive Begins In Bajaur Agency

BAJAUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2017 ) :Three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign started here on Monday across the agency which was inaugurated by Assistant Political Agent Arif Khan Yousafzai.

The APA administered anti polio drops to a children at Khar. Speaking on the occasion, he asked the health officials to keep close watch over the polio teams to make the campaign successful.

Agency Surgeon Dr Wazir Khan Safi told reporters on the occasion, that 228,000 children up to five years of age were being given oral polio vaccines across the agency.

The anti polio vaccination campaign will continue till November 22, followed by catch up of missed children. He said that a total 709 teams including 654 mobile, 41 fixed, and 14 transit teams have been constituted for the purpose. He expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements being taking for the safety of polio teams.
