Anti-Corruption warns public against fake cooperative housing societies

KARACHI, Sept 14 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2017 ) : Chairman Enquiries and Anti Corruption Establishment Sindh Alamuddin Bullo presided over an important meeting of the East Zone of Karachi Anti Corruption Establishment on Thursday.

The Chairman ACE stated that the Anti-Corruption received various complaints against fake cooperative housing societies in all over the province and particularly in the east zone (Karachi) of the establishment, said a statement.

The Chairman ACE further stated that the general public at large is being misguided by the mafia of fake cooperative housing societies by showing them fake documents of lease. 'Various fake cooperative housing societies are working in Karachi and people should verify their papers before making any agreement with the builders/dealers of cooperative housing societies, added Alamuddin Bullo.

The Chairman further stated that an awareness campaign through media will also be launched in order to create awareness among the masses regarding cooperative housing societies. The meeting was also informed about the various cases of corruption/misappropriation of funds in different universities of Sindh including Karachi University, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkana.

Chairman Anti Corruption Alamuddin Bullo stated that strict action will be taken against officers involved in corruption in the universities. Director Anti Corruption Establishment Usman Ghani Siddique briefed the meeting about recent raids and FIRs lodged by the Anti Corruption.

The Director in his briefing stated that ACE East is conducting an enquiry against the corruption in vaccination of Animals brought from different areas of the country to Karachi "Maweshi Mandi" for Eid-ul-Adha.

'Rupees 300 for each animal were collected from the owners but sacrificial animals were not vaccinated added the Director. The Chairman Anti Corruption stated that this is very serious matter and we will not allow anyone to play with the health of people.

He directed the authorities concerned to submit a detailed report in this regard within a week. The Chairman further stated that show-cause notices will be issued to the investigation officers who failed to complete their investigation within the time and no extra time will be provided for any enquiry.

The meeting also decided to take action against the applicant (under the section 182) who misguides the Anti Corruption by providing fake evidences/application. Mansoor Ali Wassan, Director Legal Abdul Hannan Shaikh, Deputy Director East Tariq Qureshi, Deputy Director Head Quarters Zameer Ali Abbasi, Assistant Director Naveed Junejo, Assistant Director Raza Muhammad Pathan, Inspector Imtiaz Ali Channa and other officers of Enquiries & Anti Corruption Establishment Sindh.
