KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Nov, 2017 ) :Deputy Speaker of Sindh Assembly Syeda Shehla Raza on Wednesday referred to a parliamentary committee the issue of alleged fraudulent use of Names of some Opposition MPAs by District Administration Sukkur and of some other districts of interior Sindh for spending community development funds.
The Deputy Speaker gave such a ruling on the privileged motion by Muttahida Qaumi Movement's MPA Heer Sohu that certain district administrations in interior of Sindh had misused community development funds in her name and in the name of four other MPAs including those on reserved seats, without taking them on-board.
She pointed out that the lady MPAs were shocked to know that the funds used without rationale, as she alleged, were shown in the record of the District Administrations as the expenses made on the advice of the respective members of Sindh Assembly.
She said these funds could be used in better way if the Parliamentarians from the areas were taken on board. Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Khwaja Izhar and other senior Parliamentarian of MQM Sardar Ahmed also called for detailed inquiry into the alleged misuse of the funds and also condemned the District Administration attitude by wrongly using the names of MPAs behind these expenditures.
Justification of use of these funds should also be determined, they demanded.
