AJK Election Commission Constitute Election Tribunal

MUZAFFARABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Oct, 2016 ) : The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ ECP) Wednesday constituted an Election Tribunal to hear election petitions filed by different candidates of general elections 2016.
The tribunal is comprised of District and Sessions Judge Mirpur Chaudhary Munir, said a notification issued here.
The election petitions have been filed by Sardar Mehmood Iqbal against Sardar Sagheer Chughtai, Malik Muhammad Yousaf against Malik Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Nazir against Ch.
Abdul Majeed, Muhammad Naeem Khan against Aamir Abdul Ghaffar Lone and Ch. Anwar-ul-Haq against Ch. Tariq Farooq. Interestingly, non of defeated candidate has filed election petition against the winner despite the allegations of rigging by Pakistan Peoples Party AJK and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf in other Constituencies.
