Ahsan Iqbal Directs IG To Set Up Reconciliation Committees In Islamabad

Minister for Interior Prof Ahsan Iqbal Tuesday directed Inspector General of Police Islamabad to constitute reconciliation committees as part of efforts to introduce community policing in the capital city.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) :Minister for Interior Prof Ahsan Iqbal Tuesday directed Inspector General of Police Islamabad to constitute reconciliation committees as part of efforts to introduce community policing in the capital city.
The minister was chairing the review meeting of the Interior Ministry here. Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Director General Federal Investigation Agency, IG Islamabad Police and officials of Islamabad District Administration and Interior Ministry attended the meeting.
The minister said sports competitions should be held for improving physical fitness of the police.
Modern technology should be used for putting in place the system of e policing, he added. He said Federal Investigation Agency should review the list of tour operators and credible tour operators should be included in the list.
Ahsan said work on the computerization of land record of Islamabad should be expedited. The facility of online visa should be immediately started and the overseas Pakistanis should be given best facilities when they apply for identity cards and passports. He said the district administration should ensure implementation of timing of marriage halls and one dish policy.
