AGP Clarifies News Item Regarding SUPARCO Imagery

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july, 2016) : The office of Additional Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) on Wednesday clarified a news item published in a section of press, saying that the satellite imagery provided by Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) was provided free of cost.
The information reported was based on some earlier correspondence which became outdated later as a result of the efforts and cooperation of SUPARCO In a statement the AGP office said SUPARCO extended all possible cooperation within a short span of time, which is highly appreciated and acknowledged.
It said their efforts were also conveyed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan during the hearing of Suo Motu case no. 5 of 2016 concerning the cutting of trees from Margalla hills and Lora Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) by the stone crushing mafia, and was also appreciated by Chief Justice of Pakistan.
