AG KP Calls On Assad Qaisar

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22th july, 2016) : Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sharifullah Khan Wazir called on Speaker KP Assembly, Asad Qaiser here on Friday and discussed matters pertaining to Provincial Public Accounts Committee. Training of Provincial Assembly's staff regarding finance, accounts and audit was also discussed in the meeting.
Accountant General desired that a list of staff members may be shared for arrangement of training at local Audit and Accounts Training Institute Peshawar level or at Pakistan Audit and Accounts academy Lahore. Speaker Asad Qaiser, Nasrullah Khan Khattak, Special Secretary Administration, Accounts and Finance and Amjad Ali, Additional Secretary PAC Provincial Assembly said that members of the provincial assembly should be guided and briefed on financial statements prepared by AG Office.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharifullah Khan Wazir appreciated suggestion forwarded and said concerned officials would be available to guide members of provincial assembly on financial statements. AG also briefed speaker provincial assembly on availing services of Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS), Islamabad.
He also suggested that a similar institute in KP is needed to enhance working capacity of provincial assembly.
