Abducted diplomatic officials after recovery arrive in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2017 ) : The two diplomatic officials of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jalalabad, who were safely recovered on July 26 from their abductors by Afghan security forces, have arrived in Islamabad on Thursday.

Last evening, the two officials were handed over to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kabul by the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said a press release issued here on Thursday. The two officials and their families have expressed their profound gratitude to the Afghan Government for the efforts in the officials' safe recovery.

They also thanked the Government of Pakistan for consistent efforts to seek their release.
