580 Moavineen To Facilitate Pakistani Pilgrims In Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2018 ) :The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony intends to deploy 580 Pakistani Moavineen-e-Hajj (welfare staff) for helping first time intending pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, said officials sources of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Wednesday.
According to the sources, the contingent of welfare staff (Moavineen) would be nominated by Federal ministries, departments, provincial governments, police, civil defence, scouts and other public sector organizations.
About 210 Moavineen-e-Hajj would be selected from personnel of police and Pakistan armed forces, 44 from Scouts, Civil Defense and other public sector organizations, 268 from ministries, departments and provincial governments (on payment basis), and 58 repeaters according to their 10 percent quota reserved for them.
The sources said an BPS 20 or 21 officer would supervise the welfare staff. The ministry would also hire local Moavineen-e-Hajj, who could communicate in Arabic language with Saudi agencies to facilitate the pilgrims, they added.
