22 lawbreakers including five gamblers netted; drugs, liquor, weapons recovered from Rawalpindi

Police in their crackdowns against anti-social elements have arrested 22 lawbreakers including two for running illegal petrol agencies and five gamblers besides recovering 1890 grams charras, 40 liters liquor, two bottles of liquor, three pistols 30 bore with 10 rounds, 160 liters Kerosene oil, 40 liters petrol and 50 liters diesel, Rs 10500 cash stake money, six mobile phones and other items from their possession.

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Mar, 2018 ) :Police in their crackdowns against anti-social elements have arrested 22 lawbreakers including two for running illegal petrol agencies and five gamblers besides recovering 1890 grams charras, 40 liters liquor, two bottles of liquor, three pistols 30 bore with 10 rounds, 160 liters Kerosene oil, 40 liters petrol and 50 liters diesel, Rs 10500 cash stake money, six mobile phones and other items from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, Saddar Baroni police netted Waheed for having 520 grams charras. Waris Khan police rounded up Shafique with 1045 grams charras. Gujar Khan police seized 15 liters liquor and netted Raheem and Abdul Khaliq while Civil Line police held Arslan, Arif, Shabbir, Sulman, Sarfraz and Mustafa and recovered 27 liters liquor.

Jatli and Gujar Khan Police also conducted raids and apprehended two for running illegal petrol agencies and a Sound System Act violator. Police recovered 160 Kerosene oil, 40 liters petrol and 50 liters diesel from them.

Other accused were sent behind the bars for having illegal weapons, drugs and liquor. Meanwhile, Saddar Wah police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid in New Phase-I area in its jurisdiction and rounded up five gamblers namely Abid, Naveed, Suleman, Prince France and Jan Nawab who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards.

Police also recovered Rs 10500 cash stake money and six mobile phones from their possession.
