187 Cases Of Missing Children Registered In Current Year

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21th july, 2016) : Police have registered 187 cases of missing children out of 208 in the city during the current year. As many as 162 children out of 208 returned themselves and 27 ones were recovered by police while 19 children are still missing.
Addressing a press conference at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh here on Thursday, CCPO Capt (retd) Muhammad Amin Vains said mostly children left their houses due to frustration and other social issues.
He adding that there was no criminality behind it. He disclosed that about 308 missing children were in the Child Protection Bureau. He urged child protection bureau, civil society and parents to play their affective role in educating and guiding children regarding social issues. Answering a question about bank dacoities in the provincial capital, he said investigation had been completed in this regard and culprits involved in the cases would be arrested soon.
The CCPO said "qabza mafia" had been eliminated from the city. DIG Investigation Sultan Ahmad Ch, SSP Investigation Hassan Mushtaq Sukhaira and other senior officials were also present.
