14 Additional LHC Judges To Take Oath On 26th

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Nov, 2016 ) : Newly-appointed 14 additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will take oath of their office on Saturday (November 26). LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah will administer oath to newly appointed judges including District and Sessions Judge (D&SJ) Mujahid Mustaqeem, D&SJ Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, D&SJ Abdul Sattar, D&SJ Habibullah Amir, Advocate Muhammad Bashir Piracha, Additional Prosecutor General Asjad Javed Ghural, Advocate Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Advocate Jawwad Hassan, Additional Prosecutor General Ahmad Raza Gillani, Deputy Attorney General Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir, Assistant Advocate General Mudassir Khalid Abbasi, Advocate Abdul Rehman Aurangzeb (Bahawalpur), Advocate Muhammad Ali (Rawalpindi) and Advocate Ch.
Abdul Aziz (Rawalpindi) in a ceremony to be held at LHC lawn. President Mamnoon Hussain has approved appointment of said judges on the advice of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and recommendations of the parliamentary committee and judicial commission, for a period of one year. After the induction, the strength of the LHC judges would become 60 which was sanctioned strength.
