KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2017 ) : A leader of the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N), Senator Nihal Hashmi, on Wednesday lashed out at PPP government in Sindh alleging that it merely resorted to `loot and plunder'.
Referring to the statement of Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Jam Khan Shoro, Senator Nihal Hashmi severely criticised Shoro's undue criticism of the public welfare projects announced by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Hashmi was of the view that the people of Sindh are well aware that in the previous tenure as well as its current term, the government of PPP in Sindh `misappropriated funds of billions of rupees through fake development schemes'.
He in a statement maintained that because of `this corruption' the cities in Sindh were in very bad shape.
Senator Nihal Hashmi alleged that money was minted by `stealing water of the people of Karachi, heaps of garbage have littered the metropolis'.
He further maintained that in the absence of a proper transport system in the city, the people have to travel on rooftops of the public transport. Senator Nihal Hashmi said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has won the hearts of the people of Sindh by announcing mega development projects.
These include revival of Karachi Circular Railway, Greenline Bus Service and K-Four Bulk Water Supply Scheme for Karachi, and billions of rupees' development projects for Hyderabad and Thatta. He invited that instead of undue and baseless criticism by PPP on PML-N, it should compete on the basis of performance. APP/pas-rak/msk/rn
