Second Edition Of Sindh Antiquities Published

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2017 ) : The second edition of Sindh Antiquities has been published. The quarterly journal in English is being published by the Directorate General of Antiquities , Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archaeology, Government of Sindh.
The Patron-in-Chief is Sindh Minister for Culture, Syed Sardar Ali Shah.
The second edition of the journal published write ups mainly on Makli Hill- one of the largest necropolises of the world adjacent to the Thatta city.
The articles are also about ancient civilization of Moenjodaro. Editor of the journal- Haleem Sharar, said that the Makli Hills Necropolis has been declared as world heritage site by the UNESCO. He said that as many as 2,100 copies of the second edition of the journal have been published. These would also be made available to the libraries of the universities. APP/rak/msk/ff
