Sukkur Customs authorities seized smuggled goods from Akbar Express coming from Quetta to Punjab on Monday
SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st May, 2018 ) :Sukkur Customs authorities seized smuggled goods from Akbar Express coming from Quetta to Punjab on Monday. The smuggled goods were loaded on sealed compartment that arrived in Rohri Station from Quetta late on Sunday night, Customs officials said.
The smuggled goods included auto spare parts, heavy bikes, tires, plastic and dry fruit, clothes. Its value was estimated at around Rs 8 million, Kaleem Ullah Waggan, Deputy Collector of Customs Sukkur, said.
"We raided after receiving information about presence of contraband goods in the Akbar Express," he said, adding that the movement of Balochistan-bound trains and vehicles has been kept under strict vigilance by the directives of Collector Customs Khalid Hussain Jamali.
