KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2018 ) :On the directives of Commissioner Karachi, Ijaz Ahmed Khan, the city administration on Saturday sent four shopkeepers to jail for overcharging.

The fine of Rs 6,33,000 was also imposed on 551 shopkeepers, vendors during price checking of daily use items in different markets of the city.

An official statement said that 4 shopkeepers were sent to jail by the Assistant Commissioner Civil Line for overcharging and not displaying rate list. It said that mostly fruit and milk sellers were found involved in profiteering.
