Some Elements Trying To Sabotage Peace Process: Qayyum

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2018 ) :Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator, Lt Gen (Retd) Abdul Qayyum has said some nefarious elements were trying to vitiate peace process in the country but they would fail in doing so.
The nation and valiant armed forces had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for upholding peace in Pakistan, he said talking to a private news channel. Abdul Qayyum said the PML-N government had launched operations Zarb-e-Azb and Raddul Fasad to maintain peace in the country and also destroyed hideouts of the terrorist and militants.
Replying to a question, he said the present government had always tried to resolve issues through negotiations. He urged Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to do positive politics and refrain from using derogatory language against political opponents.
PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held protest demonstration in red-zone and attacked national institutions including Pakistan Television and parliament, he stated.
