Peace Committees Urged To Promote Harmony

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2017 ) : Regional Police Officer (RPO) Zulfiqar Hameed on Thursday urged the members of District Peace Committees (DPCs) of Sargodha region to promote religious harmony for maintaining peace during Holy month of Ramazanul Mubarak.
A video-link meeting was held here at RPO office Sargodha and attended by all the four DPCs including Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar and Khushab. Addressing the participants, the RPO lauded the valuable role of Ulemas for maintaining peace and urged them to maintain unity as it was imperative to make the arrangements successful.
He said that fool proof security arrangements have been made at all mosques, Imam Bargahs, Ramazan Bazaars and Madni Dastar Khawans in the region. The RPO said that it was need of the hour to foil nefarious designs of anti-state elements and upkeep sanctity of Ramazan.
He called for promoting love, brotherhood and fraternity. He appreciated the cooperation of clerics and trader community and said they had been playing remarkable role in maintaining religious harmony.
