The Pakistanis who make their way into the list of top 50 influential muslims

(Pakistan Point, 11th October, 2016) :‘World’s 500 Most Influential Muslims’ list 2017 boasts Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Abida Parveen. The list published by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, subsumes Muslims who have been valued all over the globe for their influential activities. The name of the late well known social activist Abdul Sattar Edhi was comprised under the necrology and was attributed prestige for his remarkable acts of benevolence while his wife Bilquis Edhi was also featured on the list, for her philanthropy and charity work.

About 30 pakistani Muslims were highlighted in the list, consisting of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, human rights activist and lawyer Asma Jahangir, child activist and Nobel Peace prize winner Malala Yousufzai, Maulana Tariq Jameel and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. In the meantime, the list of top 50 muslims features Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, His Royal Highness Shah Karim Al Hussayni The Aga Khan, Amir of Tablighi Jamaat Pakistan Hajji Mohammed Abdul Wahhab and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The ‘final 450’ were acknowledged for their benefaction in 13 categories including, philanthropy, charity, politics, arts and culture, science and technology and administration of religious affairs.
