(Pakistan Point News – 1st October, 2016) : World Health Organization has asked countries across South-East Asia Region to continue to take decisive action to prevent detect and respond to Zika virus. Poonam Khetrapal Singh Regional Director of WHO South-East Asia, said in a statement that countries across the Region must continue to strengthen measures aimed at preventing, detecting and responding to Zika virus transmission. Zika virus is a serious infection and threat to the health and well-being of a pregnant woman and her unborn child.
