BAJAUR AGENCY, Sept 13 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Sep, 2017 ) : Political Agent Bajaur Agency, Abdul Amir Khattak has inaugurated a state of the art intensive care unit at the agency headquarters hospital in Khar.
Speaking the opening ceremony of the children intensive care unit here, the political agent said the Federal government was committed to ensure basic and modern health facilities to people, children and women of tribal areas.
The political agent said the present government was taking keen interest to provide better health care facilities to people of tribal areas and huge amounts are being spent for this purpose. He said provision of health facilities to people was the government's prime responsibility.
He said unfortunately, the tribal areas were ignored in the past for provision of basic health facilities. Khattak said the present government has started revolutionary efforts to ensure basic and modern healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps.
The political agent said the people of the agency would soon see major improvement in health care facilities in their areas. He said all the healthcare units in the entire agency have been functional while efforts are underway to establish some new health care units in remote areas of the agency.
The PA directed the health officials to improve efficiency in order to ensure maximum healthcare services to people. Senior officials of the health department briefed the political agent about the importance of newly established children ward.
They said that the unit was aimed to ensure modern health care facilities to newborn children of the agency. Tribal elders, religious leaders and officials of the local administration and health department were present on the occasion.
