Health Week Starts In Sialkot

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2018 ) ::Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Asghar Ali Joya Monday inaugurated the Health Week at THQ Hospital Kotli Loharian here on Monday.
The week is being observed from Feb 19 to 24 in coordination of Population Welfare Department. He said that the Punjab government had taken a number of steps for providing health facilities to people at their doorsteps.
During the Health Week, he said that health awareness walks, seminars and other programmes would be organised to inform people about importance of health.
He said that the district government would conduct different tests to diagnose diseases free-of-cost.
He said that Hepatitis tests would be available during the Health Week and the government would provide free medicines in this regard. He said that TB patients would get free medicines at their homes.
He said that Health Department should play its due role for a healthy society and create awareness about different diseases among people. Population Welfare District Officer Nadeem Ahmed Chatha and others were present on the occasion.
