LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2017 ) :Former captain of Pakistan cricket team Wasim Akram, said on Tuesday that diabetes was spreading in the country swiftly, saying that balanced diet and daily exercise could save people from the disease.
Addressing a seminar held in connection with World Diabetes Day at Nishtar Medical University( NMU), Wasim Akram informed that one could lead normal life even after suffering from diabetes, if one follows principals.
He urged the people to care for their health, adding that each one of us should know what type of food we should use. Later, he participated in an awareness walk along with doctors of NMU to sensitize masses about diabetes. A large number his fans gathered around him and took selfies with the legend cricketer.
