328542 Children To Be Immunized During Anti Polio Campaign

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2017 ) : The three- day anti polio drive commenced here on Monday. The District focal person on polio Dr. Ashfaque Qureshi talking to APP said that all available resources are being utilized to make the campaign a success.
He informed that besides immunization against polio drops to under five years age, the vaccination teams will also give the capsules of Vitamin A to the children from age of six months to six years.
During the campaign he said the teams would visit door to door in the areas including Hyderabad City, Latifabad, Qasimabad and Rural talukas of the district.
Dr Ashfaque Qureshi said that a total of 882 mobile vaccination teams will carry out door to door vaccination to administer the drops to 328542 children of under five years age.
He added that the vaccination of children will also be carried out at 110 fixed points and 23 transit points of the district. The Medical Officers of Union Councils of Hyderabad have been engaged to monitor the vaccination campaign under supervision of 11 Taluka Supervisors, he informed.
Meanwhile, the people have been asked to extend their cooperation to make the campaign a success. APP/fas/maq/fmc � 14:34/15:02/15:02
