Sindh University Denies Consideration Of Allowing Charity Meal To Students

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018 ) :The spokesperson of university of Sindh Jamshoro has categorically denied consideration of any proposal of establishment of Selani food outlets to provide free or discounted meal to university students, especially the boarders.
In a statement on Monday, he said that the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat has also explicitly took exception to any such development at almost all public forums including print, electronic and social media channels.
The spokesperson emphasized that the false ruckus on the given account was actually an expression of unjustified resentment from certain circle who did not want Dr. Burfat to succeed and the university to prosper.
He said that in a year Dr. Burfat has initiated reforms that include reconstruction of roads, improvement in classroom infrastructure, construction of new classrooms to accommodate ever increasing number of students, setting up of student complaint cells, food hygiene facility at hostels, launch of skill development programme for university students, introduction of online attendance system, enhancing internal campus security mechanism, regularization of academic session and implementing strict check on use of unfair means at all external varsity examinations.
The spokesman asserted that the university was in a stable financial shape and was a satisfied recipient of both Federal and provincial government grants. He clarified that there were no projects like Selani under any active consideration adding that such unfounded onslaught of accusations would not in any way thwart Dr.
Burfat's resolve to turn the varsity for better and that he would forge ahead, setting aside all such baseless propaganda.
