Punjab School Results Better Than Private Sector: Chairman PEF

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Aug, 2017 ) : The latest results of Punjab public sector schools have shown improvement as compared to the private sector academic institutions with the reforms introduced by the incumbent government.
It was a matter of great satisfaction that the latest results of Lahore board public sector schools were 11 percent better than the private sector, informed, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Engr.
Qamarul islam Raja. He stated this while addressing the last day of training session organized for newly recruited educators here at Quaid-e-Azam academy for Educational Development Islamabad, said a press release on Monday.
He said the Punjab government had always given top priority to the total observance of merit in every field, including the education sector, so that the best of the best stuff could be chosen for national development.
He commended the fact that the Punjab government had always prioritized adherence to merit and it had helped to achieve the targets of good governance. He said different holistic reforms had helped to further improve the quality standards of school education sector in the population wise the largest province of the country.
He reiterated the performance would improve with the merit based recruitment of 80,000 teachers would catalyze positive results in the education sector of the Punjab which would also help in achieving the core targets of quality education.
The decision of the promotion of all Primary school teachers from grade 9 to grade 14 is the mark of trust in teachers. He also lauded that the hard work of all public school teachers and hoped that they will do utmost efforts for accomplishments of more success.
The training of teachers helps in improving their capacity building which enables them to deliver better in the schools. The teachers should, therefore, take full benefit of training opportunities to be able to give best education to their students.
The QAED has been playing an important role in sensitizing the teacher role about new educational concepts of education so that they could deliver better to their students, he concluded. Shafqat Hussain Niazi and Principal Virtual University Professor Abida Shaheen also highlighted the importance of the role of teachers in national building.
In the end PEF Chairman distributed certificates to educators who showed exemplary performance.
