FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018 ) :State Minister for Textile Hajji Muhammad Akram Ansari said on Monday the government had set its priority for improving education sector on modern scientific lines.
Addressing a function to inaugurate newly constructed classrooms in Govt Girls High School Karkhana Bazaar here, he said that Rs 6.9 million had been spent on classroom project in the school whereas funds of Rs 25 million have also been released for the construction of new classroom and provision of missing facilities in Govt Girls College Karkhana Bazaar and physical work on this project will start in a couple of weeks.
The state minister said the government was concentrating to improve literacy rate in the society and for this purpose, best education facilities were being provided at the doorsteps of the masses.
Billions of rupees are also being spent on the establishment of computer labs in education institutions so that new generation could be equipped with IT education to compete with rest of the world, he added.
He said the government was also paying special attention to repair, maintenance and renovation of old buildings of the schools in addition to provide safe and secured atmosphere to the students so that they could get education without any fear of terror.
Special funds have also been allocated for girls schools and colleges so that female community could also involved in national mainstream by equipping them with latest education, he added. Former MPA Khawaja Muhammad islam, Kamal Chughtai Advocate, former Mayor Malik Muhammad Ashraf, Xen Buildings Tahir Anjum, Headmistress Azra Naheed and others were also present on the occasion.
