Maryam Wins GB Inter Colleges Declamation Contest 2017

GILGIT, Sept 19 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2017 ) : Maryam Mehmood, a student of Fatima Jinnah Women Degree College Gilgit, has won the inter-colleges declamation contest 2017 held among students of Gilgit Baltistan here at Karakuram International University (KIU) on Tuesday.

The contest was held on the topic of "As CPEC can change fate of region," in which students of eight top colleges of Gilgit Baltistan participated. The students spoke in favour and against the topic by highlighting different aspects of CPEC.

The debaters maintained that CPEC was a lifeline project for Pakistan viz a viz GB that would change destiny of people and in fact the whole region. The overall first position was clinched by Maryam Mehmood while Qaira, a student of Unity Public School Giglit stood second and Abdullah of the same school, have clinched third position respectively.

KIU Registrar, Abdul Hameed Khan distributed certificates and prizes among the students.
