PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Dec, 2017 ) :Trading community of Peshawar has demanded stern action against the sellers of chemical adulterated milk, resolution of traffic problems and expansion of roads in the city.
The demand was made during a meeting here with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Islamzeb in the chair. Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Shahid Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner (AC), Mohammad Mughees Sanaullah and Additional Assistant Commissioners ((AACs), Qaiser Khan Kundi, Javed Anwar Kamal, Tariq Hussain, Inayatullah Khan, Assistant Director, Consumers Protection Said Badshah, Assistant Food Controller Mohammad Khalid Khan, Members Consumers Protection, Malik Ikram, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Kiyani & Malik Iftikhar, the representatives of trading community Malik Meher Elahi, Sharafat Ali Mubarak, Mohammad Ihtesham Haleem, Haleem Said, Mohammad Iqbal and Mansoor Bukhari and others attended the meeting at large.
The traders briefed the Deputy Commissioner regarding their problems in detail and demanded stern action against the business of the selling of chemical adulterated milk.
The DC was also complained of rampant number of route permit less rickshaws and demanded operation against such rickshaws and other vehicles.
They also demanded stern action against those involved in selling injurious food items and assured full cooperation in operation against encroachments. The Deputy Commissioner heard their problems with interest and assured the resolution of their genuine demands.
He said that most of shopkeepers have erected encroachments outside their shops, which is creating hurdles in the movement of pedestrians, particularly women. He said that in this connection, the district administration will soon launch stern crackdown against encroachments. The training community thanked the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and assured him full cooperation.
