Tokyo shares open higher as yen drops further

TOKYO, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Oct, 2016 ) : Tokyo shares opened higher on Thursday as the Yen fell further, lifting exporters. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 0.56 percent or 94.36 points, to 16,913.60 in the first minutes of trade, while the broader Topix index of all first-section issues gained 0.51 percent, or 6.94 points, to 1,354.75.
