Punjab Revenue Authority recovers Rs36.3m from SWMC, PHA Gujranwala accounts

The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has got freezed bank accounts of Sialkot Waste Management Company (SWMC) and Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) Gujranwala and withdrew Rs36.3 million from these accounts as official recovery

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2018 ) :The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has got freezed bank accounts of Sialkot Waste Management Company (SWMC) and Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) Gujranwala and withdrew Rs36.3 million from these accounts as official recovery.

According to PRA Gujranwala region Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Yaseen, the PHA Gujranwala and SWMC had defaulted on Rs36.3 million as they failed to pay 16 per cent taxes on advertisements, repair of vehicles and contracts of their development schemes.

He said that the PRA drew Rs26.3 million from PHA Gujranwala's freezed account and Rs10 million from the SWMC account as the defaulted amounts. However, the PHA Gujranwala and SWMC officials have announced moving the court against the action.
