The Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX)'s commodity index on Monday closed at 3,483 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at 6.254 billion
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd May, 2018 ) :The Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited (PMEX)'s commodity index on Monday closed at 3,483 points; with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at 6.254 billion. The number of lots traded was 9,474, said a PMEX statement on Tuesday. (The data is compiled and released after 24 hours.
) Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to Rs 2.312 billion, followed by gold Rs1.765 billion, currencies through COTS Rs 797.345million, platinum Rs 544.207 million, NSDQ100 Rs 241.967 million, silver Rs 201.974 million, DJ Rs 170.368 million, natural gas Rs 72.441 million, copper Rs 58.627 million, SP500 Rs 51.774 million and Brent Rs 38.004 million. In agriculture, 105 lots of cotton amounting to Rs 71.743 million were traded.
