Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi formally inaugurated Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) at Saidu Sharif, district Swat on Thursday
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Oct, 2017 ) :Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi formally inaugurated Women Business Development Centre (WBDC) at Saidu Sharif, district Swat on Thursday.
Those present on the occasion were included president, Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Haji Noor Mohammad, Commissioner, Malakand Division Zaheer-ul-Islam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), SMEDA, Sher Ayub Khan, General Manager Out-Reach (GMOR) SMEDA, Javed Iqbal Khattak and others.
In his detailed presentation, Javed Iqbal Khattak GMOR SMEDA highlighted the objectives and achievements of the centre. He after the formal inauguration accompanied the guests on a visit to the incubators.
All incubatees and rack holders of the center were present on the occasion and introduced their business Names and products to the federal minister.
WBDC Swat was a public sector development programme (PSDP) funded project under the Ministries of Industries and Production (MoIP) is executed by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).
The total cost of the project is Rs 35.01 million. The purpose and objectives of the centre are the provision of all encompassing facility for office space, product showcasing, exhibition, sale, trainings, conducive business environment for women owned businesses in the form of business incubation centre, capacity building of women entrepreneurs.
The centre will also provide specialized services in the field of marketing, finance, and management and employment generation by supporting new business start ups, business development services for existing business and promotion of the entrepreneurial culture amongst women in Swat.
