Kohat Administration Reclaims 95 Kanal Land From Grabbers

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2018 ) :Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sahibzada Najibullah, Tehsildar Azam Khan and a team of Irrigation Department taking action on directives issued by DC Kohat, Khalid Ilyas removed scores of encroachments from Jarma, Muslim Abad and Soor Gul areas on both sides of the irrigation canal.
During seven days campaign, the district officers and Irrigation Department reclaim 95 kanal of land from the grabbers in Soor Gul and Muslim Abad areas and brought it into government possession.
During the drive strict action was taken against the encroaches wherein a hotel, blocks factory, houses and even some portions of mosques were removed.
Sahibzada Najeeb said it was quite encouraging that local people were extending complete cooperation to the administration in removing the encroachments adding even some people voluntarily removed the encroached portions of their properties.
He said the provincial government was determined to remove encroachments and no compromise would be made in this regard. He said for the next phase of anti-encroachment drive heavy machinery has been brought and people have been issued with notices to removed illegal structures otherwise the administration would initiate action against such constructions.
