The Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Agriculture Peshawar, has approved several subjects and assays on issues related to climate change and global warming aimed at to prepare students to counter future's challenges
PESHAWAR, Oct 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Oct, 2017 ) : The Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Agriculture Peshawar, has approved several subjects and assays on issues related to climate change and global warming aimed at to prepare students to counter future's challenges.
The approval was given during board of Faculty meeting of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) with Vice Chancellor Agriculture University, Prof Dr Noor Payo Khan in the chair. The meeting besides other was attended by IDS Director Prof Dr Hamayat Khan and other faculty members.
The Board accorded approval of inclusion of special assays and subjects in the courses of Bachelor of Economics and Rural Development to educate students about causes and dangerous effects of climate change and global warming and its impact on our daily life.
The VC Chancellor said climate change and global warming were great challenge for the regional countries and cogent measures were required to effectively tackle it. He said massive afforstration and controlling of effects of gases can help to overcome this challenge. APP/fam/anm
