PMEX Index Closes At 3,242 Points

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2018 ) :Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Thursday closed at 3,242 points, with traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX recorded at Rs 4.109 billion.
The number of lots traded was 7,054, said PMEX release on Friday. (The data is compiled and released next day). The major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 1.
231 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 1.072 billion, WTI crude oil Rs 1.036 billion, silver Rs 244.659 million, DJ Rs 235.146 million, NSDQ100 Rs 121.246 million, platinum Rs 68.793 million, SP500 Rs 36.739 million, copper Rs 23.624 million, natural gas Rs 20.733 million and Brent crude oil Rs 17.883 million.
In agricultural commodities, 2 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 0.836 million were traded. APP/ah/har
