Jeddah, June (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 13 يونيو 2025ء) Project General Supervisor Saad Al-Wabel stated that the operational tasks were completed with high efficiency across seven processing complexes equipped with the latest technologies. The facilities enabled accelerated slaughter and processing operations while ensuring the safety of the meat. More than 820,000 heads of livestock were slaughtered and processed, reflecting the project’s intensive efforts to meet the needs of pilgrims and deliver meat to eligible beneficiaries with the highest standards of reliability and quality.
Al-Wabel highlighted the implementation of instant freezing technology this season, which lowers meat temperatures immediately after slaughter, enhancing quality and minimizing contamination risks during transportation and storage. In addition, 130 cold storage units with a capacity exceeding 820,000 heads were utilized, alongside unified disinfection protocols across all slaughter sites.
Al-Wabel noted that this season saw expanded collaboration with various public- and private-sector entities, contributing to an integrated operational experience and yielding positive outcomes in coordination and efficiency.
Regarding distribution, he confirmed that the project delivered over 360,000 kilograms of meat both inside the Kingdom and abroad using advanced mechanisms that ensure transparency and effectiveness. This was done in cooperation with 54 charitable organizations, clearly reflecting the project’s humanitarian and social mission.
