Ankara, May (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 14 مايو 2025ء) In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Ambassador Abu Al-Nasr emphasized that the Makkah Route initiative embodies the interest of the wise leadership in serving pilgrims. It is one of the Ministry of Interior's initiatives within the Pilgrims Experience Program, one of the programs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. It aims to facilitate the procedures of pilgrims who benefit from the initiative from their countries, starting with issuing electronic visas and taking biometrics, and completing passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying availability of health requirements, as part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to facilitate the process for the pilgrims.
He explained that this is the second year of the initiative at Esenboga International Airport and the third year in the Republic of Türkiye through Istanbul Airport. He also expressed his gratitude to the participating entities for the services they provide to pilgrims and their concern for their well-being, appreciating the Turkish side's cooperation in this initiative.
