Transport General Authority Intensifies Regulatory Campaigns on Violating Foreign Trucks Within the Kingdom

Riyadh, March (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز ‎‎‎ 20 مارس 2025ء) The TGA has imposed strict penalties on violating trucks, including a SAR10,000 fine and impoundment for 15 days for the first offense. Repeat violations will result in increased penalties, with the second offense carrying a SAR20,000 fine and a 30-day impoundment, the third offense resulting in a SAR40,000 fine and a 60-day impoundment, and the fourth offense leading to a SAR80,000 fine and a 60-day impoundment. For a fifth violation, the fine will reach SAR160,000, with the truck being impounded for 60 days, and repeated noncompliance could result in the vehicle's confiscation.

The TGA continues to conduct intensive field campaigns across various regions of Saudi Arabia as part of its regulatory oversight of the transport sector. These measures are designed to ensure fair competition, promote equal opportunities for carriers, and strengthen the national transport sector.

The TGA reaffirmed that these efforts align with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, aiming to enhance the sector’s development and improve its competitiveness both locally and internationally.
