Riyadh, January (پاکستان پوائنٹ نیوز 15 كانون الثاني 2025ء) NWC stated that the four plants in the Al-Shula district pump over 8,000 cubic meters of desalinated water daily, utilizing the reverse osmosis system. It highlighted that it is currently assessing the operational efficiency of these plants and monitoring the flow of desalinated water in several networks across the targeted districts (1117, 1095, 1179, and 1243).
It also noted that the purification plants will serve over 60,000 people in these districts and emphasized that construction of additional plants in other areas of the Eastern Region is ongoing. Once completed, the project will achieve a total output of 76,000 cubic meters of desalinated water per day, representing the overall targeted capacity for all project components.
NWC emphasized that these projects are part of the National Water Strategy and align with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. These objectives aim to support the rapid urban growth in the Eastern Region and meet the population's need for desalinated water until additional supplies are provided through ongoing water quality enhancement projects.
