These opposition leaders did not attend Bilawal’s Iftar dinner
There are some leaders who did not attend this high profile Iftar dinner.
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 20th May, 2019) Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari hosted an Iftar dinner for opposition leaders and other representatives of different political parties at Zardari house on Sunday.
Asif Ali Zardari, Maryam Nawaz, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Hamza Shehbaz, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Pervaiz Rashid, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Liaquat Baloch, Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Sherpao, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leadership among other prominent politicians attended the dinner.
Different leaders of PPP including Yousaf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Farhatullah Babar, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Rehman Malik, Chaudhry Manzoor, Naveed Qamar, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Humayun Khan and Pulwasha Khan were also present on the occasion.
However, there are some leaders who did not attend this high profile Iftar dinner.
These include:
Mahmood Khan Achakzai
Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party's Mahmood Khan Achakzai did not attend the dinner as he could not find a flight and had sent a party delegation on his behalf.
Sirajul Haq
Jamaat-e-Islami's Sirajul Haq could not attend due to personal commitments.
Asfandyar Wali
Awami National Party's Asfandyar Wali did not attend it either because of bad health. He had also sent his delegation on his behalf.
Akhtar Mengal
Moreover, Balochistan National Party’s Akhtar Mengal also could not attend the dinner.
