Sheikh Rasheed says government has no option but to seek loan from IMF

The Railways minister said that the government was doing efforts for the betterment of the people

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News-13th April 2019) Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that the government has no other option than to approach the IMF.

From the day one, he said while addressing a ceremony at Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he was aware of the fact that the government had least options in hand to bring the economy on track. Because, he added, the former government had left the government in crisis. Everyone knew of the fact, said the outspoken minister, that political stability could not be attained without achieving financial stability. Chairman Businessmen Group & Former President KCCI Siraj Kassam Teli, Vice Chairmen BMG Zubair Motiwala and Anjum Nisar, General Secretary BMG AQ Khalil, President KCCI Junaid Esmail Makda, Senior Vice President Khurram Shahzad, Vice President Asif Sheikh Javaid, MNA Aftab Jahangir, CEO Pakistan Railways Aftab Akbar and KCCI Managing Committee Members attended the event.

The minister said the railways' revenue increased by Rs4 billion as compared to the last year. He highlighted the efforts of the government for the betterment of common people. He said he was hopeful that things will be improved faster.
