Former finance minister Ehsan-ul-Haq Piracha passes away
He served as Finance Minister from December 4, 1988 to December 6, 1990 under Benazir Bhutto’s government.
Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 2nd February, 2019) Former finance minister Ehsan-ul-Haq Piracha passed away on Friday.
His funeral prayers will be held today at 3pm.
Ehsan-ul-Haq Piracha was a politician from the town of Bhalwal in Sargodha District.
He served as Finance Minister from December 4, 1988 to December 6, 1990 under Benazir Bhutto’s government.
Ehsan-ul-Haq Piracha was elected as a Senator in March 1994 for a six-year term. He was a member of the Senate Standing Committees on Commerce, Communication and Railways and on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs and Statistics and also a member of the Functional Committee of the Senate on Government Assurances.
